Door To Door Selling Strategies

Fundraising question, help please?
I have beem chosen to go on a trip for school credits and I will be representing my state and one of 48 people representing the USA, I’m not going into what it is because that’s not important and it’s not the sort of thing that you could base items on, like shirts with the company’s name on it.
Anyway, what it comes down to is I need to fundraise, I was wondering what sort of items people would buy or anything that people would do to help out. I already have big town raffel sort of things planned and indirect things but now I need a door to doore thing. What could I make for cheap that people would buy, sorry if I sound scatter brained but I’m watching Home Improvement while writing this and Wilson is talking.
Anyway, any ideas of selling strategies will help, thnx.
I need to raise $6,500 we can pay a bit but we still need to raise a few thousand, at least 2k.
Thnx
I am a senior class sponsor for a high school, thus I am in charge of fundraising. Over the past few years my student have sold Wash Tub booklets, candy from Old Fashion Candy Company, Christmas cards, cookie dough, candles, magazines, food, and more. As an individual opposed to a group, the first thing I would do is write and send a donation letter. Basically, you write a letter explaining what you are going to be doing, how it will benefit you, and how it will benefit them or society if you participate. You can send the letter to friends, family and local businesses. In the letter you can promise to keep donors updated on your progress and success. Many people like supporting good causes, especially if they know what the result is. Also, it can be a tax write off. As far as going door to door, that is going to be tricky. Many people are skeptical of salespeople. Door to door sales also rules out most food products as people don’t know if they can trust the person who is selling the food. One idea you might consider is getting a group of friends together and doing a car wash. Most fast food restaurants will allow you to do this because it brings people into their restaurant. I hope you are very successful. I understand the struggles of fundraising!!!
