Im going to run a business like a paiting practice which is a good way to market the company?

I am currently training school where students are given the opportunity to learn to run a small business by running a painting business. I need a way to market the business painting, without wasting time knocking on doors. I currently can not even advertise because I'm somehow a little money. Does anyone have good advice for will raise awareness of the business.
